I know killing Melvin on page 12 caught readers by surprise (killing your point of view character does that), but people's reaction to Grandpa's death surprised me a little. Comments came in from readers accusing Live Nude Ghouls of tonal whiplash. And, yeah... guilty. 

The recipe for a good Live Nude Ghouls story has always been horror, sex, and humor. Different shorts and storylines have leaned on those 3 stool legs in different ways. Some have more humor and sex, some have more horror and sex. Of all the stories I've written, "Something Wicked This Way Cums" is probably the most evenly split.
